I didn't post anything yesterday because it was kind of a slow celeb news day, at least on things I like to blog about.

I decided to be like that fine a$$ piece of sexyness that is T.I. and I voted early. I don't blame Chelsea Handler for flirting with T.I. when he appeared on her show earlier this week, that is one fine mutha, damn he looks good but I digress.


For those of you who hadn't heard about her until bloggers started posting the clip of T.I. on her show, Chelsea Handler has been around for ages. I first really got into her when she was on the T.V. show Girls Behaving Badly, but she was around even before than. I love her she is out of her freakin' mind funny. Google her!

With the beginning of basketball season there is no doubt we will see plenty of good looking men at the games, last night Denzel Washington and David Beckham were at the Los Angeles Lakers opening-night game in L.A. Double the yummy!

Barack Obama Speaks To 100K In Colorado

I really didn't post anything yesterday but Barack Obama was in my hometown speaking to over 100k in Civic Center Park on Sunday. I know he had 100k in attendance in St. Louis but I didn't think this many people in Colorado would show up, Colorado is generally a Republican state. This picture did not capture the entire mass of people that attended the rally for Senator Barack Obama, it was quite a sight to see.

Thoughts & Prayers To The Hudson Family

I am sure everyone has heard by now that Jennifer Hudson's Mother, Darnell Donerson, and Brother, Jason Hudson, were murdered Friday afternoon and her 7 year old nephew, Julian King, has been missing since the murders. It is being reported that a body of a young black boy was found in an SUV this morning, some outlets are saying it is Julian and others are saying no identification has been made yet. We send our Condolences to the Hudson family for their loss and we also send thoughts and prayers during this tragic time.

In light of the tragic events we here at Nina Monroe will not be posting anything further today unless it is in regards to Julian King and the Hudson Family.

Can P.Diddy Flip Enyce?

The entrepreneurialness that is Sean Combs, aka P.Diddy, has purchased the urban clothing brand Enyce from Liz Claiborne Inc. for a reported $20 million. In these days of hard times some people may think Diddy is a little over optimistic in taking on the failing clothing line but considering he bought the brand for $94 million less than what Liz Claiborne Inc. reportedly paid for it back in 2003, he got a great deal. Y'all know Diddy is going to flip that ish into a major money maker. Liz Claiborne Inc. don't know ish about urban clothing that is probably why the line has been declining in sales over the years. Congrats and good luck to Diddy, love him or hate him that man gets that money!!

Congratulations To Lil Wayne

Yes I was gone yesterday I told y'all I'm a busy lady and if it is a slow celeb news day I usually don't post but I came back to find out that Lil Wayne had a baby boy on Wednesday. Congratulations to Lil Wayne on the birth of his son, it is always good when a healthy baby is born. However, I just want to know what woman would let Wayne rawdawg her a$$. That is some crazy ish, in this day and age y'all know y'all shouldn't be having unprotected sex, that ish can kill yo a$$. I don't care how much money someone has your life is priceless. But congrats anyway.

Another Day, Another Reality Show

I was going through my DVR last night and trying watch as many taped shows as I could to free up some space. I noticed that someone in my house recorded 'Real Chance of Love', the new VH1 reality show that has Real and Chance, from 'I love New York' fame, trying to find love. One thing I can say is the girls look way better than Flav's girls ever looked but the trifflinness is still the same. One girl on the show, So Hood is what they named her, is a hot everlasting mess! Please stop the madness with these women going on these shows making a fool of themselves. They should start calling these shows, "I'll Do Anything To Ge My 15 Minutes."








I also watched 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' last night and I have to say that ish is the hottest mess that ever came out of Atlanta. I think it's just a poor representation of how Atlanta women are. My Aunt lives in Atlanta and she is quite well off but she nor any of her friends behave the way these women behave. These have to be the most materialistic people on the face of the earth. Wow, and I don't mean that in a good way. That NeNe is a trip, all I can say is step up your CLASS game ladies.

Toni Braxton Meets Mr. Boot

Toni Braxton was eliminated from Dancing With The Stars last night after falling in the bottom two. I can't believe she's off and Cloris Leachmen is still on the show with all that goofball ish she calls dancing. No offense to Cloris but she looks ridiculous out there and they go easy on her because she is 82. So it's safe to say she will probably win this seasons DWTS because they seem to be afraid to tell her she sucks and they keep giving her high scores, not that I watch the show (wink).

Rihanna & Justin Timberlake In Rehab!

Ok not really, but Rihanna is making yet another video and this time Justin Timberlake is joining her. They were burning up the set with sexyassness all over the place while filming the video for 'Rehab' on Tuesday. All I want to know is how is she still making videos to 'Good Girl Gone Bad' and it is over a year old? Stretch that ish out for all the money you can get from it, that's what that's called. She's kind of pulling a Beyonce these days with all the videos and you can't go on to any site without seeing her picture everyday. I like Rihanna but I am so tired of seeing her right now I want to poke my eyeballs out. I wish these ladies would get it that sometimes less is more, you never want people to get tired of seeing you and right now I'm sick & tired and I'm tired of being sick & tired! But I have to admit she is gorgeous.

Solange Out & About

Solange was looking quite beautiful at The Chivas Studio on Tuesday in Madrid, Spain. She was there promoting her album ‘Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams’. I love her she is so unique and fabulous. Now I love Beyonce, but she doesn't seem to have the type of originality that her sister has but it amazes me who the bigger star is. I guess originality doesn't count as you have a huge fan base, the fans can make or break you that's for sure.

Womanizer Is Not Britney Spears' Best Work

I love the fact the Ms. Brit Brit has decided to get herself together and take hold of her family life and career but so far I am not impressed with anything else. I was not impressed with all the moon men she collected at the VMA's, because frankly there were a lot of people who worked hard and kept their ish together while doing it, those are the people that deserved those awards. Secondly I am not feeling this Womanizer ish, this is not her best work and it's a far cry from something I would expect to be #1 on the billboard hot 100. Oh well that's just my opinion, don't get me wrong I want Ms. Spears to make a full and complete comeback but she should have to work just as hard as everyone else and stop this half a$$ bull*@!.

Mariah and her hubby Nick Cannon stepped out together last night and although I am not particularly fond of this dress on her, I am glad to see she is in something not so tight. Damn I would love to be her stylist, I would have momma dressed to the 9's I would have her decked out you understand me.

A Little Burberry & Chocolate!

The deliciousness that is hot, milk and white chocolate turned out for the reopening of the Burberry Beverly Hills Store on Monday. Paula Patton, Sanaa Lathan, Laila Ali, Liv Tyler and Kate Hudson were just a few that showed up for the event. All the ladies looked fabulous, y'all know Ms. Nina loves her some chocolate!!!

Angelina was promoting her new movie Changeling and talking about all her wonderful children and how she and Brad plan on adopting more. Good for them. Aubrey & D.Woods Get Introduced To Mr. Boot

It is official, Aubrey and D.Woods are no longer with Danity Kane. Now I know last week on part 1 of the Making The Band finale Aubrey was kicked out of the group, but I was not expecting what happened last night to happen. But low and behold, Diddy kicked both the girls out on the conclusion to the finale. Between me and you I think he did it so he could have a reason to do another season of Making The Band. Oh the horror! Good luck to Aubrey and D in all their future endeavors.

Angela and Vanessa Simmons are my two favorite young people right now and any opp. I get to post their beautiful faces I will. They look fierce at a show for L.A. fashion week, they are too cute for words. By the by, there is a rumor floating around that the girls are getting their own reality show on MTV but I ain't one to gossip so... if it's true good for them, make that money ladies, don't let it make you.

Say it ain't so Joe, Madonna and Guy Ritchie are the latest celeb couple to bite the dust. But really didn't we all see this coming once the rumors began that she was getting busy with A-Rod. This is not really news to me, it's sad especially for the children involved but not news. Anywho, we wish them all the best in the future, keep it positive for the children.

I am being told that Brandy's album Human is not being bushed back and it will hit stores on November 11th. So that's what I get for reading other blog sites, I better start doing my own homework if I want to pass the class. I still get an A for effort right?

I know, I know, I haven't been posting regularly but I promise to take some fiber for that. I have been crazy busy and it is insane around this camp but I did want to post some quickies:

Congratulations to the sexyassness that is T.I. on the success of Paper Trail (568,000 copies in the first week). I was never a T.I. fan but after his arrest and subsequent conviction I have really enjoyed his transformation and the album is fabulous!

In not so good news, Brandy's upcoming album Human has been pushed back from a November 4th release date to December 9th. I love Brandy and can't wait for the album. Her Single Right Here (Departed) is not doing well on radio and I don't understand why. The song is great I love it and for me it has been the best song that has come out in 2008 and that is just my opinion!

Add Halle Berry to the long list of celebs with their own fragrance. Ms. Berry unveiled her fragrance for women and it is called, what else, Halle. She says she has been working on the fragrance for two years and is proud to finally have it out, Congrats to her.

Tyra Banks went behind the scenes of Janet Jackson's Rock Witchu tour in Vegas yesterday. I am not sure when the show was tapped but I know it was before Janet got sick and had to cancel some tour dates. Anywho, Tyra was her usually crazy self and if you ask me I think Ms. Banks has a little crush on Janet, gettin' all freaky with Janet in her bed. If you missed the show I'm sure you can catch it on Youtube. By the by Janet is scheduled to resume her tour tomorrow.

Is Aubrey Really OUT???

I usually don't post about reality shows, although I am a fanatic of reality television. Last night I was watching Making The Band and Diddy was asking the girls what was the problem in the group and of course Aubrey had to mouthed off. I know people think Diddy can go a little hard sometimes but the way she was talking to him, you would never work in an office and talk to your boss that way. In a way she kind of deserved a to be put in her place, but is she really out of the group?? I like these girls together so I hope she will be able to stay. You never know with Diddy, I guess we will have to wait to see what happens.

Read For The Record Day

I know you all have heard about Read For The Record because it is done every year. This year some of my favorite people participated, L.L. Cool J, Mario, JoJo, Gabrielle Union and Mary-Louise Parker, in the event Thursday which aims to break a world record by encouraging thousands of children and adults across the country to read the same book on the same day, this year the book was Corduroy by Don Freeman.

Ms. Nina Says......Slow News Day

There is really nothing going on on the news front today in the way of celebs. I did catch a little of The View this morning and the folly that is Elisabeth Hasselbeck is at it again trying to defend the indefensible. She got into a little tiff with Ms. Barbara this morning because Barbara asked her to explain why she thought Sarah Pallin was qualified to be President. For the first time Elisabeth was at a loss for words so she shot back at Barbara and told her to explain why Barack Obama was qualified to be President. Talk about biting the hand that feeds you, and I hate to talk bad about Elisabeth (God forgive me) but she just doesn't seem very bright to me, I know she thinks she sounds intelligent when she is spitting out her nonsense but she really needs to keep her mouth shut sometimes and just listen. Now I know many people that watched this morning didn't get Whoopi's explanation that no candidate is qualified and only someone who has been President before is qualified. It all ties into the word experience that everyone keeps throwing around. If you look the word up it states that you can only have experience in something if you have done it and gained knowledge and skill from what you have done. So with that said, Whoopi is right if all the candidates need to have experience then none of them are qualified!!
