for mothers day. It features a few photos
of some celebrity mothers

they had this photo of Kanye and his late
Mother Donda West. God bless Kanye,
it has to be hard for him especially during
these occasions. Ms. Nina wishes him the
best of every thing life has to offer.

Donda West passed away on November 10, 2007. In ESSENCE's May 2006 issue Kanye wrote a letter to his mother expressing his love:
Dear Mama,
A lot of times people in my position are so busy that they don't take time to really chill, but you and I see each other all the time. We go to the movies, we go out to eat. We're just mad cool.I know there are many things I could say to you right now, but there's no way any of it would be the same as what I wrote to you in "Hey Mama." I wrote that song back in 2000. It took me a month to finish, and at the time it was the absolute best song I had. I even used it to shop my demo. Everything is in that song—how much I care about you and how you've always been there for me. The first time you heard it, you cried and said it was beautiful.I was three years old, when you and I moved to the Chi/ Late December, harsh winter gave me a cold/ You fixed me up something that was good for my soul/ Famous homemade chicken soup, can I have another bowl? You work late nights just to keep on the lights/ Mommy got me training wheels so I could keep on my bike/ And you would give me anything in this world/ Michael Jackson leather and a glove, but didn't give me a curl/ And you never put no man over me/ And I love you for that mommy can't you see?I appreciate what you allowed for me/ I just want you to be proud of me/ Hey Mama Nothing I could say now could outdo that. I don't want to offend all the other parents, but I'll put you up against anybody else's mom. I definitely have the best.
Love,
Kanye
