Michael Jackson 1958-2009

As the world mourns an Icon, the greatest performer of our time, I reflect back on a post I made on March 16, 2009 just after Michael sold out 50 shows at O2 Arena. I cannot say it enough this man was an amazing performer and I am so grateful that I was able to see him live in my lifetime. I am heartbroken that the younger generation will not get to experience that genius, he was pure magic when he performed. I grew up with his music, Off The Wall came out when I was five years old and I remember dancing my butt off and every time Michael put out an album from that time forward I had to have it. My parents had all the Jackson 5 albums so when I tell you I grew up on his music that is what I mean.

Just to see him in concert was the most amazing concert I have ever witnessed and I will cherish that memory. Genius is always misunderstood and Michael had was genius, he was a visionary, an artist, a dancer, a singer he revolutionized the music video, he did things with the music video that artist in this day and time cannot top, can't even come close to. His dancing was effortless, seamless, amazing and full of moves that the best dancers today still can't perfect (the moon walk)! He was the King of Pop, the King of Dance and the King of making outstanding music videos.

Remember the Wiz, Remember the Pepsi commercials, Remember that Superbowl performance, Remember the 750million records sold world wide, Remember the 13 grammys, Remember Thriller, the best selling record of all time, Remember the Jackson 5, Remember the first time he did the moon walk, Remember the Guinness Book of World Records, Remember the 45 years of musical genius. There is so much to remember and he will live forever. I feel as though he was someone I knew and I never had a chance to meet him but nonetheless I feel as though I have known him all my life and I am truly saddened by his death.

You better believe the albums are selling like crazy right now! Michael Jackson was Excellence, a Genius, a Phenom, a Superstar, an ICON! His musical talents will be missed by his millions of fans all over the world and I am one of those fans. They say he was on the verge of a comeback with the sold out shows at O2 Arena, I say when you can sell out 50 shows in a matter of a couple of hours, estimated to be about 750,000 tickets in a couple hours, you don't call that a comeback, you call that he never left.

Michael Jackson Dead At The Age Of 50

I was going to hold off on posting what I just heard until it is confirmed but I will say Michael Jackson was rushed to the hospital this afternoon after suffering a cardiac arrest and going into a coma. It is now being reported that he is dead, I am speechless and full of emotion and my thoughts, prayers and love to the family. I can't believe it, the biggest Icon of our time I don't believe he is gone.

R.I.P Farrah Fawcett

Ms. Farrah Fawcett lost her battle with cancer this morning, she was 62. Our condolences to the family of the beautiful Farrah Fawcett, best known for her role as Jill Monroe on the 70's television show 'Charlie's Angels'. Farrah is also known for her outstanding Golden Globe nominated performance in 'The Burning Bed', which is one of my all time favorite movies. Farrah Fawcett leaves behind her son Redmond and his father, her long time companion Ryan O'Neal.

While I was working hard in beautiful Aspen, CO, the world continued to turn and new releases hit the stores so check it out, CD's and DVD's. I don't have time to do it all nice and pretty so y'all better Google it, or Bing it whatever y'all do.

Run's House Returns To MTV Tonight

Don't forget to tune in to the season premiere of Run's House tonight. The popular reality show is in its 6th season on MTV, check you local listings for show times. This is one of the very few black shows on television that isn't a complete disappointment to the black community. Currently their are no black television shows on network television so if you don't have cable you can pretty much forget it. What a shame in this day and age, we have a black President but we can't get no shows on network t.v.??????

Sorry y'all I can't upload any videos, not sure what the problem is but my cousin just sent me video of the concert in NYC with Bow Wow and Day 26 and she is really rubbing it in. She called me today and said she got tickets to Summer Jam here in Denver. How the hell did she get tickets they have been sold out since the first day. I can't believe that I can get tickets for any sports event but I can't get tickets for Summer Jam. What kind of world do we live in, oh well I have to work anyway. I don't have the hook up at KS107.5 but obviously my cousin does and she most certainly is a groupie. Just kidding, my cousin is very beautiful, like me, and has a way with people so she basically gets whatever she wants all the time. Love you babe have fun at the concert! My friend just told me she just unfollowed all the celebs she was following on Twitter because they don't respond unless they know you. That is so funny to me because why would she think a celeb would talk to her random ass, hahaha. I'm just playing, I love my friends but they are so clueless sometimes. I am actually on Twitter just watching the traffic, I'm so over it because I can just say what I have to say on my blog. I like to watch just to see what the celebs have going on just in case they have new music or movies or anything like that coming out. The celebs only tweet with people they know or other celebs, or half naked girls so if you are following a celeb, just watch the traffic and wait to see what they have going on because they always give updates!!!

Bow Wow, Trey Songz, Soulja Boy & Drake All In One Room!

Talk about a chocolate sundae ooh la la, me and my girls are at this bar and I have been on my mini laptop all night on Twitter just watching the traffic. Of course I follow Bow Wow and Trey Songs, anyway, they are in Connecticut right now in Bow's hotel room playing UFC on Xbox 360, they are on USTREAM live and you gotta love it! So many fine ass dudes in one room, I freakin' love twitter. I 'm usually not on this blog on the weekends but I just had to say that twitter is it, all that and a bag of chips! Forgive me yall I am Grey the freak Goosed out, I am so drunk and no I am not driving because I drink responsibly. I am too damn old to be watching these young guys on USTREAM, LOL!!!!!!

I want to send my condolences to the family and friends of Kill Bill star David Carradine, the circumstances of his death are still unknown but we wanted to send our prayers to all those the actor left behind.

Bacardi B-Live Event In Denver

DJ Jazzy Jeff was in the house at Beta Night Club in Denver last night as part of the Bacardi B-Live event. It was packed do you understand me, I was in there briefly but I didn’t see DJ AM, apparently he was also scheduled to be at the event. From my brief appearance I can tell you it was off the hook, shout out to MetroMix Denver for the pics.

The Beatles: Rock Band!

OMG!!! I cannot wait to get my hands on this game. Microsoft held its annual E3 press conference yesterday and they announced all the games coming out for Xbox. I have Rock Band for Xbox 360 and I love it so I can't wait to get The Beatles version. Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr were on hand to announce the game. Tony Hawk was also at the event and he announced his new game Tony Hawk: Ride with a skateboard shaped controller. That should be funny I can't wait to get both. I believe they are both coming out in September but don't quote me on that but I have a hook up so if i get either early I will let y'all know.

Bow Wow Was The Best She Ever Had?????

My cousin went to the concert at the Apollo on Saturday, I'm still pissed that she didn't take me, but I digress. Bow Wow was the headliner at the show, Day 26 performed and Unique opened the show. Now listen, I absolutely adore Bow Wow but my cousin is really and truly a Bow Wow Stalker, not in a crazy way, but she will fly all over the U.S. going to Bow Wow concerts, this chick is crazy. I love you Bow but I'll be damned I'm not doing that ish, I wanted to go to the concert in New York because I will be working the day Bow Wow and company come to Denver for Summer Jam. I took this trick to Vegas with me and she couldn't give me that extra ticket for NY. I'm not really that mad I love my cousin she is awesome and I hope she enjoyed herself. All that being said, I like Day 26 so I thought it would be a nice little vaca for me but no this trick left my a$$ at home, lol. She had the nerve to call me yesterday to let me know that Bow Wow was the best she ever had and that is all she had to say, now I'm assuming that she meant that the show was great because I don't think my cousin is a groupie but hey, ya never know?????? I've heard from a few people that the show was good and everybody did a great job so that's all that matters. I'm curious about this Unique guy so I am going to do some research on him and I'll let y'all know what I think.

Slique use to be in an R&B group but now he is doing his own thang with new album Rythm & Ghetto Soul.

I plan on getting all three so I'll let ya know what I think!!

Congratulations to the Orlando Magic!!!

Congrats to the Magic for making the NBA finals and I know I said I would cheer on the Lakers but I don't know now, I love Dwight Howard so I guess I will be neutral on this and just enjoy the games. The net is abuzz about how LeBron James didn't offer his congrats after the game and some are even saying if Carmelo could congratulate Kobe why couldn't James do the same for Howard. Well y'all know I am on this kick about being nice but I have to say no one should be surprised by LeBron's behavior at all and that's all I'll say about that. Side note Carmelo and Kobe are good friends and no matter what anyone says about Carmelo no one can say he is a sore loser, he has never been that type of dude he is a confident person but he is also very humble for those of y'all who don't know. Unlike some other sore losers we won't bother saying any names. Everybody learns in kindergarten that if you don't congratulate your opponent when you lose that makes you a sore loser.
