Chris Rock Is Not The Father, But This Chick Is Still Writing A Book??

The courts have ruled in Chris Rock’s favor, Kali Bowyer of Georgia refuses to let go of her claim that the comedian fathered her child, and is even moving forward with plans to write a book detailing her alleged relationship with Rock.

In the press release circulated for her upcoming book “Hollywood Child,” Bowyer claims her past included “a hot affair with racy comedian Chris Rock.” Her life, according to the release, “started crashing down all around her,” until “getting pregnant with Chris’ son saved her life.”

This chick may be either crazy or money hungry either way Chris better be careful she kind of seems like a fatal attraction.

Please People Don't Help Barack Obama He Does Fine By Himself!

I usually don't do politics but rapper Ludacris has been added to the list of people who have hurt Barack Obama's campaign by trying to help him. Reportedly Ludacris has a rap song out that goes hard on Hilary Clinton, George Bush, John McCain and Rev. Jesse Jackson. The Obama camp has had to denounce the song because of the harsh lyrics:

"Ludacris is a talented individual, but he should be ashamed of these lyrics," Obama spokesman Bill Burton said.

"As Barack Obama has said many, many times in the past, rap lyrics today too often perpetuate misogyny, materialism, and degrading images that he doesn't want his daughters or any children exposed to."

Please people stop trying to help, if you don't have anything intelligent to say, keep it to yourself or at least don't associate your ignorant words with Barack Obama. Obama has enough hate to deal with don't add to the problem be part of the solution.

Ali Lohan May Need A New Manager

If you happened to catch the season finale of Living Lohan on E!, you would have seen Ali Lohan go on an audition for the remake of the movie Trolls. Unfortunately for Ali the director that auditioned her was Peter Davy, director of such adult flicks as Voodoo Lust and Dreams in the Forbidden Zone, TMZ.com reported Wednesday.

You would think that her momager Dina Lohan would have checked this guy out before she sent her daughter on an audition. As a mother you have to protect your child and as a manager you have to protect you client, looks like Dina failed at both jobs. Ali may want to hire a manager that does a little more fact checking. I think Dina is so anxious for her daughter to become a star that she forgets this is a fourteen year old child. I caught a few episodes of the show and in my opinion Ali Lohan is too much of a people pleaser and the entertainment business may eat her alive. If I was her mother I would try to steer her dreams in a new direction until she turns eighteen. You never want to crush you child's dreams but as a parent you should always protect your child and do what is right for them. Not every child is meant to be in the business even if that is what they want at the time. Open her up to some new experiences and not just what she saw her sister doing all her life. Just my opinion.

Kendra Wilkinson May Be Leaving The Playboy Mansion After All

A while back rumors were flying that there was tension between Hugh Hefners girlfriends, Kendra, Holly and Bridget. After much denial from the Playboy Mansion and the girls themselves, Kendra has been quoted as saying she is ready to move ahead. She wants a family, a husband and kids. From the rumors we could have seen this coming a mile away, it's obvious now that Kendra may be leaving the Playboy Mansion soon. She had this to say:

"I was only 18 when I first moved in and I’ve grown up so much. I really have a new light on my life," Wilkinson said. "I’ve been thinking a lot about marriage and kids; I don’t care about going crazy and partying anymore. I’m focused on the real life things, my future. That’s who I am now."

Keira Knightley says no to breast enhancement in publicity photos for her upcoming movie "The Duchess," the Daily Mail reports.

A source told the newspaper that movie bosses wanted the slender actress to appear more curvaceous, but "she has insisted that her figure stay in its natural state. She is proud of her body and doesn’t want it altered."

The actress, best known for role in the "Pirates of the Caribbean" films, had her breasts digitally enlarged to a C-cup in the U.S. publicity photos for her 2004 film "King Arthur."

In 2007, the actress told Britain's GMTV that "I would love to have t--s! I would love to have Monica Bellucci's figure. But I'm never going to get it. I'm naturally who I am. Surgery is far too frightening. I couldn't."

Ms. Nina thinks this very beautiful young lady is in denial, she has never been very big but she was a little more meatier when she first started out. Her weight has since fluctuated to the point where you could see every bone in her body and there is nothing natural about that. You know what Ms. Nina says about that, eat, eat and more eat. That's probably why I can't lose this baby weight from my last pregnancy almost two years and counting. Good thing is the weight seems to be all in my butt, my man loves it. Ha! Let me stop tellin' y'all all my business. You can tell it's a slow news day.

T.I. Gets Honorable Mention

I haven't been a really big fan of T.I. in the past but he is getting honorable mention from Ms. Nina. I respect the way T.I. has been trying to change his image and tone it down since his felony conviction. Sometimes all it takes is for a person to learn from a mistake to make that change.

Speaking of felony convictions, since T.I. has one he can't vote so he has teamed up with The Hip Hop Caucus to launch the Respect My Vote campaign. The campaign is a powerful new voter registration and Get Out the Vote campaign that combines the power of celebrity and media with 21st century grassroots organizing tactics to mobilize and educate young people between the ages of 18 and 29, who are not in college.

Kanye West Is The Man

This posting is a little late but still very relevant. Y'all know Ms. Nina loves her some Kanye, I don't know what it is about these cocky men, but they are the hotness over here at Nina Monroe Says. I digress, in case you didn't know Kanye is supporting our Troops in a very big way. Kanye was featured in a documentary for MTV, he went from house to house presenting Iraq war vets with monetary gifts to pay for rent, taking care of debts or funding tuition. It was very touching and heartwarming. We all know MTV replays everything so make sure you catch it. Just one more reason why Ms. Nina loves her some Kanye.

Ms. Nina Says, 'You Gotta Love The Hate'

Here it is people you have to love it when someone is hatin' on you. It keeps your name in there mouth and out in the streets. All the celebs who get frustrated with people making up rumors or hatin' on them, don't sweat it just climb that ladder. As long as a person is successful in any way someone is always going to have something negative to say about that person. Remember haters keep your name visible because often times the bloggers or tabloids often write about the negative more so than the positive. So ya gotta just roll with it and be true to who you are no matter what.

I bring this up because I did a post for people to check out Danity Kane and Bow Wow's new videos that premiered on Friday. I just wanted everyone to check out the videos because to my knowledge we have not yet seen a true summer athem as in past years. So I was thinkning maybe one of the videos would be the athem that is so needed during the summer time. Danity Kane premiered Bad Girl featuring Missy Elliot and I liked it, I thought it was cute but it didn't stick with me but of course people went hard on them and hated it and called them manufactured stars and all the other ish. I like Danity Kane and I say get that money while you can, yall know how Diddy does things over at Bad Boy.

Then there was Bow Wow's Marco Polo featuring Soulja Boy. You know everybody and there momma had something to say about the deliciousness that is Bow Wow, my groupie crush. I liked the song but a friend of mine did not get the Marco Polo analogy, so she hated the song. But to me it's simple if you have ever played Marco Polo (it's the water version of tag) you would know exactly how it relates to the song. I don't have time to educate you all on analogies so look it up. Anywho, I'm a little old for Bow's music but I listen to whatever my children like as I have stated before because I want to make sure it is age appropriate. My kids love the song and they have officially made it their summer anthem and they play it all the time. They like it because it is fun and not heavy and they can dance to it. My kids love anything they can dance to, like yours truly. I think it's a catchy fun song and so let the hate continue because it's just more publicity for Mr. sexy himself. I know people are saying they thought that Bow wanted to go for a more grown up image with his music, but as he has stated before, he can't forget about the younger fans so he has to give music to both sides. You gotta appreciate him for taking the time to consider all his fans.

Kenyon Martin In Car Accident

Denver Nuggets Forward Kenyon Martin aka K-Mart, was involved in a car accident with his girlfriend, rapper Trina, over the weekend in Belize. Neither K-Mart or Trina were hurt in the accident, two children in the other vehicle had minor injuries. They were in Belize for a charity basketball event Martin was hosting.

TMZ and 7News Belize report that the Ford Excursion the couple was traveling in was side swiped and run off the road by another vehicle.

Jennifer Lopez Gets Back To Work

Jennifer Lopez is heading back to work in a big way via the big screen. She will star in The Governess, a romantic comedy about a professional thief who, in order to pull off a major bank heist gets a job as a nanny to the three children of a wealthy widower. But you guessed it she falls for the widower, I'm sure you know the rest.

Hopefully this will put the luscious Ms. Lopez back on the map, her last two movies didn't do well and I believe one went straight to DVD.

I love old movies and this seems like a remake to me because I have seen something similar. If anyone knows it this is a remake or not let me know.

Shia LeBeouf hit the Hollywood the long list of celebs arrested for DUI, not a good look, early Sunday morning. Shia was involved in a collision that overturned his SUV he was treated for minor injuries and arrested. His passenger, friend and costar in the upcoming Transformers 2 Isabel Lucas was also treated for minor injuries.

The Obama Family Covers People

The weekly magazine People has the Obama Family on the August 4th cover. Inside the mag. Democratic Presidential Nominee Barack Obama talks about the families set routines, including the $1.00 a week allowance his daughters receive for doing their chores.

While most people think a $1.00 for allowance is nothing that's $1.00 more than I pay my kids. I figure I pay for the cell phones, the clothes, the shoes, food, etc. why should I have to pay them to do their chores. I do pay them for extra things they do for me like watch their baby brother or do research or typing on the computer for me. Aside from blogging I have a full time job and two businesses that I run so they help me with the home office stuff, they get paid for that but not for chores no way. What a gorgeous family.

Nas Takes On Fox News

According to RollingStone Nas and the Color of Change organization delivered 600,000 signatures petitions to Fox News Channel in protest of the racism that occurs daily on Fox News. See what the online version of the magazine posted:

About four hours after the announcement that his controversial, politically charged ninth album was number one in the country, Nas was on a small podium in front of Fox News headquarters in New York City protesting what he sees as racist attacks against Black Americans and presidential candidate Barack Obama. In a brief prepared statement, the multi-platinum rapper pointed out examples of what he and ColorOfChange see as a long racist smear campaign against the Obama family: The onscreen graphic that referred to Michelle Obama as the Senator’s “baby mama”; Bill O’Reilly casually using the phrase “lynching party” to refer to attacks on the Senator’s wife; referencing to the couple’s infamous fist thump as a “terrorist fist jab.” Said Nas, “Fox poisons this country every time they air racist propaganda and try to call it news. This should outrage every American that Fox uses hateful language to talk about the person that may be the first black president.”
The rapper stood next to 19 neatly stacked cardboard boxes, with the number 620,127 taped to the side of each one — over 600,000 signatures gathered by ColorOfChange demanding that network president Roger Ailes “find a solution to address racial stereotyping and hate-mongering before it hits the airwaves.” Fox rejected the petitions, but Brave New Films says that Comedy Central’s The Colbert Report will accept them instead.
ColorOfChange reached out to Nas after seeing the lyrics to “Sly Fox” posted on the Brave New Films website. “We looked at it and said, ‘This is exactly what we’re talking about,’” ColorOfChange deputy director Andre Banks tells Rolling Stone. Just two weeks later, Nas was here speaking to fans, protesters and press spilling out into 6th Avenue, some even holding homemade signs markered with lyrics from the song. When asked if there was a response to “Sly Fox,” Nas rebutted quickly with, “Nah, they’re scared of me.”

Good for Nas, more rappers need to start protesting Fox, especially Bill O'Reilly's azz he goes hard on rappers. I can understand someone not liking rap music, that is your choice but Bill be trying to knock they hustle.

I have selected Bow Wow as the newest member to my club because he is gorgeous, beautiful, handsome, sexy, fine and cocky, Ms. Nina loves some cocky in a man.

Ms. Nina Says It Again, Mariah Carey Needs A Stylist!

Mariah Carey was actually seen it this outfit leaving TRL. I absolutely love Ms. Mariah Carey but she has to know that she needs a stylist. I keep tellin' Mimi to get it together with the wardrobe. It's not cute, not even a little bit.

The Camby Man Speaks!

So if you haven't noticed by now Ms. Nina is all things entertainment and being that basketball is one of my favorite forms of entertainment, I would be remiss if I didn't post highlights of Marcus Camby's press conference in regards to being traded to the Clippers by the Nuggets. All I can say is what in the hell are the Nuggets thinking, how can you trade your only defending player, the best in the league for something two years in the future. The Nuggets organization is screwed up, but I still love the players, I digress, here are excerpts from the press conference:

On his reaction to the trade...

"I still feel the same way. Denver was a place that my family and I really loved. It was the longest I’d ever been with one particular team in my career at six years. I gave them my all. On the court where I had great success - we had a little bit of team success, I had a little bit of great individual success. I think off the court I had an impact in that community, that’s so something I definitely look forward to doing out here in L.A. It came as a shock to me. I thought I had done everything possible that I could do with that team, and just tried to go about things the right way. I just thought the way they went about it was classless; they didn’t let me know anything. That’s a thing of the past right now, that’s something I put behind me and I’m looking forward to embarking on this journey."

On speaking with the Nuggets since the trade…

"I’ve talked to the players. I talked to Carmelo (Anthony), I talked to A.I. (Allen Iverson), I talked to Kenyon (Martin) and the rest of the guys. They were a little sad to see me go and definitely how things played out. Those guys will always be a part of my life as our careers go on different paths. Being together for so long, those guys are like brothers to me. So it’s kind of sad on how things ended up, but I wish nothing but those guys great individual success. Team success, I’m relying on the Clippers to take care of business."

The Nuggets are still my favorite team and I guess I will have to adopt the Clippers because Camby is one of My favorite players and he did a lot for the community here in Denver and he will be missed. The ladies will miss that bachelor pad, just kidding I don't want to get him in trouble with the wifey. I have some stories on some of the Nuggets players but Camby is a good guy and I wish him and his family all the best, much love Marcus Denver will miss you.

Mother Of All Mothers, Candy Spelling Buys A Condo

Candy Spelling's pockets just got $45 million dollars lighter. She just purchased a Condo in Los Angeles that won't be ready to move into for another year or two. Call Ms. Nina crazy but isn't it sad that Ms. Spelling can shell out 45 million for a Condo but she can't give her daughter, Tori Spelling, enough money to live on so she doesn't have to pimp herself out on reality shows and in books. Being a mother I could never see myself not taking care of my children no matter how pissed off I was at them.

Now I can understand Ms. Spelling wanting her kids to work for a living, if that is the case, but Tori has been working as an actress since she was a little girl so she does work, hard I might add. Currently Tori has her oxygen reality show, she will be reprising her roll as Donna Martin on the 90210 spin off this fall, she has a best selling book, a jewelry line and another book in the works. Although Tori and her brother Randy inherited the same amount of money, which is pennies compared to what they should have gotten, Randy still reaps the benefits of being Candy's favorite. These rich people are all crazy if you ask me they need to find some happiness cuz money sure aint it!

R.I.P Estelle Getty

Estelle Getty who played Sophia Petrillo on TV’s The Golden Girls, Getty passed away at her Hollywood Hills Home early Tuesday morning, surrounded by family and friends. She was 84, just three days away from her 85th birthday.

I am in my thirties so I was able to enjoy the original installments of The Golden Girls, and Estelle Getty was one of my favorites. I still enjoy watching the long running re-runs late at night, Estelle's character was one of the funniest most outspoken characters every on television. She will be missed, Ms. Nina sends prayers to her family and friends.

Rev Run, Justine & Miley In The New Issue Of Jet

Run's House is by far the best reality show on television and now Rev Run and Justine explain their decision to adopt in the New issue of Jet magazine. I am sure if you are a fan of the show you already know the story that led to them adopting, but pick up the mag anyway, that Miley is too cute for words.

Tyler Perry Can't Lose

Tyler Perry is at it again. His new film The Family That Preys, is set to hit theaters in September. By the looks of the trailer this movie will be another hit for Mr. Perry. I don't know if it is just me being a fan, but all his movies have been pretty good and I am looking forward to to seeing this one. Not on bootleg either but actually going to the movies and watching it. Yall folks need to cut it out with that bootleggin' ish, people gotta make their money so pay the fee and go see the movie. The same goes for music, pay that money and get the CD, don't be stealing.

Sherri Shepherd Confesses

The View co-host Sherri Shepherd has some confessions that she wants to share with the world. Sherri gave Precious Times magazine an interview and was very candid about her past.

In the new issue of black Christian women's magazine Precious Times, Sherri Shepherd reveals that her life was once so rough she didn't care if she died. "My sister was heavy into drugs, and we would have to go and get her from crack houses," Shepherd, 41, says.

At the time, the stand-up comic — then a Jehovah's Witness – was "in a very physically abusive relationship," she said. "I was sleeping with a lot of guys and had more abortions than I would like to count." She said her self-esteem became so low, "I felt if someone killed me, it wouldn't even make a difference." But after converting to Christianity, she said, "God showed me that it would make a difference."

Let it out baby, let it out. Ms. Nina commends Sherri on being so open about skeletons that most people tuck away in the back of the closet.

R.I.P DJ K-Swift

Khia Edgerton, a pioneering DJ who as "K-Swift" became one of Baltimore's top radio personalities and a major player in the local music scene, died early yesterday morning after a pool accident at her home. Where's The Beef?

Is the beef between BET106 & Park co-hosts, Terrence and Rocsi over? Some bloggers are saying there was never a beef, while others are saying that both Terrence and Rocsi are going to be replaced as hosts of 106 & Park. Whatever the case may be, Rosci was back on the Show after a week of celeb. hosts stepping in for her and at times for Terrence. But this week Terrence is gone and R&B singer Mario step in on Monday to fill his shoes for the day. During the broadcast, Mario presented Rocsi with flowers and an apology from Terrence. So was there ever a beef and is it over, I guess we will have to wait until they are back hosting the show together.

Ms. Nina is kind of indifferent to this because I don't watch the show much anymore but hopefully they will both get their acts together and be a little more professional in the future. AJ and Free where are you??

Baby Usher Is Getting His Move On

Tameka Foster, Raymond or whatever she is calling herself says baby Usher is very hyper.

"He's like hyper baby — he's crawling so fast!" mom Tameka Foster told Usmagazine.com at the 2008 HollyRod Foundation 10th Annual DesignCare Fundraiser over the weekend. "He stands up, and he's walking around the table ... it's amazing to watch him," added Foster, 38. "I've never seen a baby crawl so fast! I call him Dash, like on the Incredibles!"

While Foster called motherhood "wonderful," she said "every day is a new challenge with him.
"We're just scared because the baby knows how to get off the bed already, so our bed is like a gigantic crib because we have rails. It's hilarious!" Foster added. "Can you imagine a king-size crib?"

Even though Foster and Usher, 29, who wed in Atlanta last August , have their hands full, they'd like to expand their brood. "I'd love to have more, we just gotta make the time," Foster said.

It is impossible to look like this after giving birth just two weeks ago but Nicole Kidman pulls it off. Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman took a trip Sunday to a Nashville Starbucks and she looks amazing. Their daughter Sunday Rose is two weeks old.

Halle Berry Almost Shows Baby Nahla

Close but no cigar. Apparently Ms. Halle was out & about last week with her mother and baby Nahla when this picture was snapped. While there were several pictures taken none gave up the all important face shot. So I guess we will all have to wait until one of the photogs gets the goods because Ms. Berry will not be pimpin' any baby photos any time soon.

While I Was Out!

First of all you will be pleased to know there were absolutely no huge fights during my family reunion over the weekend, small tiffs but nothing much to write about. It was a great time indeed.

Now back to business, while I was out Britney Spears and Kevin Federline finally reached an agreement in their custody case. Kevin will have full custody of the children, while Britney is allowed reasonable visitation including overnight stays. This is interesting considering she has been doing so much better, but I think the courts made a wise decision and hopefully Britney will get back to her old self and get custody back sometime in the future. See that K-Fed didn't turn out to be such a bad guy after all, right?

Jessica Simpson was booed at her first country music concert over the weekend. Jessica opened for Sara Evans on Saturday at the Country Thunder USA festival in Randall, Wisconsin. The reviews were mixed with some booing and clapping during her performance. This chick should just stick to being an entrepreneur. While she has an amazing voice, she is just not a great performer. You either have IT or you don't, let's face it she don't.
